Motivation, the lack there of

Posted by Michael Julie on Friday, March 12, 2010, In : Motivational
I have been struggling with keeping to my training schedule and when that happens, my attempts at eating clean goes to pot. Ok maybe it could be worse hey, I could've been addicted to that POT. Remember I struggled for two weeks with a tummy bug, well last week I managed to get in my weight training workouts but slipped up on my cardio. What makes matters worse is that I didn't stick to my eating plan either. I don't like calling it a diet because most people think out it as a restricting you...

Lets get philosophical about our bodies

Posted by Michael Julie on Thursday, January 7, 2010, In : Motivational
How should we be living and treating our bodies? Has modern lifestyle been a detriment to our existence? I think it's necessary to ask these questions because 'I just want a hot body' somehow doesn't seem to do it. The reason I say this is because everyone wants a slim, toned healthy body, that is admired by all but few attain it. Holiday vs Lifestyle

Posted by Michael Julie on Monday, January 4, 2010, In : Motivational
Lessons learnt from this holiday

I cannot take a break from lifestyle, it's counter productive and one thing I realise now is that everything we do and don't do is habit forming.

Festive Season fat gain, weight loss killer

Posted by Michael Julie on Saturday, December 26, 2009, In : Motivational
It sounds like the title of a movie. People are on holiday and in that festive mood. One meal or one day is not going to make a big difference but maybe not even two days. It takes consistent effort to lose weight and gain muscle. The same principle applies to weight gain and muscle loss. If you consistently eat the wrong foods and don't exercise, you will GAIN the benefits of your efforts.

I haven't exercised for the past week and will probably only start again on the 4 January 2010. For tha...

missed session

Posted by Michael Julie on Tuesday, December 15, 2009, In : Motivational
Still a bit tired yesterday so I decided to give my session a miss. TONIGHT IT'S ON LIKE A SCON(e). Normally my eating patterns go for a loop when I don't exercise regularly. Have to change that connection in my brain the next time I am up there dusting out the cobwebs. I remember feeling guilty about missing a session in the beginning. I felt like I had to start the training program all over again. Remember it's the consistent effort that produces results, so too with the negative. If you co...

Consistent effort

Posted by Michael Julie on Monday, December 14, 2009, In : Motivational
Have to get back into the swing of things.I must do the basics consistently. It's the consistent effort that produces results. Imagine embarking on a long journey by foot and taking one step now then another step next week.
